Hello Merlin,
some of us as I, are using this substrat http://seo.fiboexclay.eu/Fibotherm-Hohl ... ttung.html
Do you have any experience with that?
It is amazing to see in what short time period you are creating nice results.

Re: Juniperus - Juniper - Wacholder
We use biogold for slow fermentation plants. (junipers, pinus e.t.c)
Also We are using fertilizers by fishes (biologically) and others (biologically).
For soil we use various inorganic materials that we buy from Germany.

Re: Juniperus - Juniper - Wacholder
I mostly use Akadama + gravel
very coarse mixture, the enough oxygen gets to the roots.
For fertilizing, I use
a) Biogold (is a very expensive fertilizer from Japan)
b) lawn fertilizer (very cheap)
I pour my plants 2 times a day on the green. 1x in Pot
in winter I water only the plants that I have in a glass house

Juniperus - Juniper - Wacholder
Hi,
This little nursery juniper was already ne some time in my garden.
Most of them looked in the tree is not much potential because it has some errors and, of course, so do not get as much bush observance.
iff all say that nothing can be
it excites me particularly to show the opposite ... hihi
So I set to work ......
Here the tree Before
After viewing the tree I created times ne Rough sketch.
First, the background to use the most branches.
But this was too much green, so I painted on the left side
the cushion (X) and Decided for jinn to me the lower branch.
Then we went to work ...... Remove the branches that I do not need ...
unblock agree ....... bark, brush ...... edit ..... dead wood bark coat with oil.
When wires I decided just to wire the main branches and no fine wiring
to make. Just around the tree would not have to stress. The tree loses in this
Design more than 60% of the greens, so approach a bit gentler on the matter.
The tree on the design
As can be seen, my idea is nearly succeeded. Various pads should now
down to earth and some areas first to get new buds so I
in length can Shorten one or the other branch.
The problem areas were also eliminated completely and in a few years, the
what with a lot of fertilizer and good care and further design already are.
Or what do you think? ....
size comparison
After the design I gave away the tree at a bonsai student of mine.
He was very happy
